Purpose-built for 24/7 surveillance | Supports up to 64 HD camera streams | 8TB of high-capacity storage | ImagePerfect firmware for uninterrupted recording | 1 million hours MTBF reliability

The Seagate SkyHawk Surveillance 8TB HDD is built for security installers and system integrators who need a drive that can keep pace with the demands of continuous video recording. Engineered specifically for NVR and DVR environments, it supports simultaneous streams from up to 64 HD cameras without frame loss, thanks to ImagePerfect firmware that minimises interruptions during 24/7 operation. A maximum sustained transfer rate of 180 MB/s keeps footage flowing reliably, while built-in rotational vibration (RV) sensors maintain performance stability in multi-bay systems with up to 16 drive bays. With a workload rating of 180 TB per year, a mean time between failures of 1 million hours, and tarnish-resistant components that guard against environmental wear, this drive is designed for the long haul. SkyHawk Health Management adds an extra layer of assurance through prevention, intervention, and recovery tools — including RAID RapidRebuild for faster volume recovery. At 8TB capacity on a standard 3.5-inch SATA 6 Gb/s interface, it slots directly into existing surveillance infrastructure and delivers the dependable, high-capacity storage that serious security systems demand.
